Social Classes
People were divided into three parts: Lower, Middle and High (rich). The poor sometimes had some rights but they rarely mattered because they were never allowed to use them. The middle class had rights, but mostly not enough time to utilize them. The rich were again divided into two parts: nobility and newly rich. The nobility often lost there membership and had to be replaced by other classes because they were not good at keeping there jobs. The newly rich were often very busy because of trying to handle the government. Ancient Greece was also divided by if you weren't a citizen or if you were. If you weren't a citizen you were in danger of losing the stuff you had, No matter how much.
Job Specialization
Men were mostly the people who had jobs, women would usually just be housewives. Some of the jobs for men were carpenters, farmers, fishermen, or soldiers. The majority of men spent most of there lives as soldiers because they were very fit, striving to be athletes or warriors. You would also be assigned a job based on how much money you had. For example if you were poor you'd probably be assigned to be a farmer or fisherman, if you were a bit wealthier maybe you'd be a solider.
